Strange to my eyes

Asalam Alaikum,

Until I went to Pakistan I have never seen cooking oil packed like this-

Let me tell you from personal experience that you should be very careful when opening.

Back home they charge a lot of money for those little tiny spice jars of cinnamon sticks. Here you get the whole tree for the same price!

The differences of the costs of certain things here is incredible. I know my cooking habits have changed some in favor of using cheaper ingredients (chili paste, coconut, etc.) but also that I spend so much more on imported items than I should. It's going to be quite a shocker when I get home and things that are practically free here are what break the bank! :) (And yeah, the cooking oil is totally weird, lol)

Well, a lot of the cost of many US products is packaging and glitz. So why not be simple and cost effective. The best is when you buy something and the salesman packs it in newspaper. Like fish or meat! Recycling, I guess.

It is extremely interesting for me to read the blog. Thanx for it. I like such topics and anything that is connected to them. I definitely want to read more on that blog soon.
